Hi, I’m Julie Andrews-Lagace, the trainer behind Waggy Butts. My journey started back in 2011 with German Shepherd Dogs. Working hands-on with puppies and families opened my eyes to something important: dogs don’t learn the same way, and a “standard program” rarely meets their real needs.

I wanted to do better for both ends of the leash.

Over the years, I’ve earned multiple certifications—including a Diploma in Dog Training/Instruction, Puppy Training specialization, Canine Communication certification, and Science-Based Dog Training credentials—alongside advanced education through The Puppy Lab. That education, paired with years of real-life experience, shaped the philosophy I use today:
