Puppy Foundations Training Package
Bringing home a new puppy is exciting—but the biting, house training, sleepless nights and endless questions can quickly become overwhelming. The Puppy Foundations Training Package gives you personalized guidance during this important stage, helping you establish clear communication, healthy routines and practical skills from the beginning.
Designed for puppies approximately 8 weeks to 6 months old, this private three-session program is tailored to your puppy, your household and the challenges you are experiencing.
What we can work on:
• House training and creating a consistent daily routine
• Crate training and helping your puppy settle independently
• Puppy biting, chewing and other common puppy behaviours
• Engagement, communication and appropriate household boundaries
• Recall, leash walking and calm settling
• Handling for grooming, nail care and veterinary visits
• Building confidence in new environments
• Preparing for adolescence and preventing unwanted habits
Exposure—not forced interaction
Your puppy does not need to greet every person or play with every dog they encounter. We will focus on thoughtful exposure to people, dogs, vehicles, sounds, surfaces and everyday environments. The goal is to help your puppy develop confidence while learning to remain calm and neutral in the world around them.
Your package includes:
• Three private 45-minute training sessions
• A personalized Puppy Roadmap
• Written recaps and practical homework following each session
• Limited email support between appointments
• Training adapted to your puppy’s development and your family’s goals
Sessions are generally scheduled one to two weeks apart, allowing you time to practise between appointments while continuing to receive guidance as your puppy develops.
Training takes place at the Waggy Butts training facility in Curran, Ontario, serving families throughout Ottawa East and the Prescott-Russell area.
